EPONA Mentoring Program 2011 ~ Equine Guided Healing at Peaceful Acres Horses Inc.
What are Nanci and Sharon Up to Now? ~ Education, awareness, energy, healing and horses….Nanci and Sharon have joined The Epona Ridge Mentoring Group for 2011. This experience is offered by Barbara Alexander, Founder of Epona Ridge (www.eponaridge.com). Barbara is a mentor and guide who is working with Nanci to enhance the programs offered at Peaceful Acres. In 2011 plan to join one of our Wellness Retreats – where we will utilize our beautiful farm, magnificent rescued horses and Equine Guided Healing. Retreats and adult programs will be scheduled for (women) cancer patients and survivors, Military Veterans and people with addiction – recovery needs. Our Equine Guided Healing Programs for adults will be facilitated by Nanci Beyerl (MSW, EAGALA Certified), Sharon Alley (Art Expressionist - teacher and EGH facilitator), Susan Aleksejczyk (EAGALA Certified) and Avis Burnett (Ph.D -Transformational Counseling) . Nanci is thrilled to have a wonderful healing team with her and looks forward to introducing more participants to the wonders of horses and how they can help people to heal emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.
Susan G Komen For The Cure sponsored Retreat: October 15, 16 & 17 were "transformative" days here at Peaceful Acres as 18 breast cancer patients and survivors came together for the First Annual Susan G. 
Komen For the Cure Breast Cancer Survivors' Retreat. The retreat started at the beautiful Glen Sanders Mansion for a wonderful dinner, introductions by facilitators and guest speaker, author and healer Puja Thompson,The farm was full of color as the fall foliage offered a back drop for healing, transformation and transition Saturday and Sunday. The women experienced Equine Assisted Learning activities, EPONA Journeys with Horses, Vortex Healing, Matrix Energetics, Art Expression, and a Labyrinth walk. The participants have said they wish to return for another retreat and introduce others to the healing experience and they also want to have support services offered at Peaceful Acres. The need is present and the desire to participate is strong... so we are seeking funding for 6 retreats for 2011! Peaceful Acres Horses, Inc. staff is now EAGALA Level Two Certified. Nanci Beyerl, MSW, Founder and Executive Director and Susan Aleksejczyk, Equine Specialist have a partnership that is reaching adults, youth and families in Equine Assisted Learning. This team brings about a profound appreciation for The EAGALA Model and Equine Rescue. Both Nanci and Susan are establishing advanced certifications in EAL/P and further developing the EAL Programs at Peaceful Acres Horses, Inc.
