Rental Options & Planning a Stay or Event at Peaceful Acres

Horse & Donkey Rescue Sanctuary – Upstate NY – Capital Region – Albany Area (Pattersonville NY)

An incredible way that Peaceful Acres serves people and our community, while also supporting the needs of the rescued equines, is through the rental opportunities provided by Nanci, and by utilizing the beautiful and versatile sanctuary property. The space we have here is scenic, peaceful, special and full of adventure. Depending on the activities you are interested in, Peaceful Acres is a year-round destination for outdoor fitness hobbies, like snow-shoeing & hiking, or simply getting outdoors when we may otherwise be cooped up indoors. The Fall and Summer are times of year when Peaceful Acres really is extra beautiful, full of excitement and great outdoor activity. A few featured spaces for rental are our one-bedroom Cabin by the Main Barn for overnight, weekend or week-long retreats, the main Yurt for rental to be used for meet-ups, baby-showers for horse or nature-adoring women, birthday parties, classes, Harvest Hosts guests, etc. – Peaceful Acres is a Harvest Hosts Location for participating RVers.

We also provide rental space opportunities for educational equine clinics, or personal development coaching special guests events.

There are two indoor arenas and an outdoor arena on the property.

Horse & Donkey Hugs parties and Team-building group classes are available. We have spacious grassy picnic areas to have lunch, relax in the natural environment and delight in the fresh air after enjoying time with the animals.

Upcoming – Glamping, and sober camping through Hipcamp will be open on a limited-availability basis, seasonally (Fall, Spring & Summer).

“Indeed, this location is very peaceful. Looking for overnight accommodations in my small RV near the Empire Trail so I could do some biking, this Harvest Host location was perfect. About a mile from the trail, which has Albany to the east and Buffalo to the west, Peaceful Acres is home to countless rescued animals (mostly horses, but also donkeys, goats and “mini”-horses). Host Nanci welcomed me at the gate, had me follow her up the hill to an old tennis court where I could park. Perfectly level ground, with a breathtaking look over the farm and across the valley, with mountains in the distance. I was blessed with an amazing sunset! I enjoyed a quiet evening and overnight with just the sound of wind as a lullaby to sleep. Turkeys visited me during my morning coffee. During a morning walk around the farm, I visited many horses, peeked inside the yurts and came across a darling cabin perched high atop a hill (also available for overnight accommodations). After hearing Nanci’s story and a walk around the farm, I was compelled to donate more than the suggested Harvest Host minimum. The overnight stay was lovely, but I felt a moral imparative to contribute to help this farm as it provides a home to beautiful animals that would have otherwise been sent to the slaughthouse. I highly recommend a stay at Peaceful Acres Horses farm.”
