Starbuck, Cookie, and Lilly

Starbuck, Cookie and Lilly are PAH forever residents in our Horse and Donkey Hugs program and retirement program. Lilly and Cookie were saved from a NY equine dealer’s lot prior to being sent into the slaughter pipeline in 2006. Cookie was in foal at the time we saved her life and after about 7 months of living with us here at PAH she delivered Starbuck a beautiful – healthy baby jenny donkey.  Lilly is perhaps our best known donkey who just turned 24 years old, she was born in 1997. Lilly and her donkey friends are our PAH Greeters when we offer our Open Stable Days May – November at the sanctuary. They are silly, friendly and absolutely love attention from people. We are grateful to be their forever safe place.
